just a day...

ok so where did i leave off.....oh yes my convo with Brit. So we were talking about God's community and how often we forget about the real Jesus. Instead we are given this Jesus that is so lame. We are bored with him so need more programs...and really it was me venting and Brit listening and saying, "yeah i remember being where you are" Just being in that frustrated state of why am I paying a bagillion dollars for college when I am teaching people about Jesus by the way i live? What makes sense about going to school for that? What makes sense about being involved in programs and giving people the eye catching part of Jesus, but when it comes to following Him, all we think about is the Grace aspect and its ok to mess up because he will always forgive. While this is true, God loves righteousness, so therefor, if we are true followers, we should in turn love righteousness. So our convo was amazing none the less. After that we went to the site where everyone was and i got to meet the rest of the team. Props to them by the way because they were SOOOO great when i came. Everyone and their mother introduced themselves to me, and they all were asking a million questions and it was really just great to be welcomed after going through the day prior. We finished the day with dinner and just hanging out and i went to bed pretty early because i was so tired. So today we did a morning session with Jason (which i will blog about separately) and we came back to do a work project team experience intern building activity. We were given a task, either painting or concrete, and we all had different roles to play. Some examples were the flirt, the intern who didnt want to be there, the bratty whinny student, the lazy worker so on and so forth. My role was the leader of the project, and i was so informed and busy that i had to lead everyone and tell them what to do without directing them because i was too busy to care. So it was HILARIOUS because we were all trying to do our roles but we were doing them to the extreme. There was one girl who was "culturally insensitive" so she would go around saying stuff like "why dont these Mexicans get in here and do this work, its a lot cheaper" and just things like that, mind you we are in Mexico. still...hilarious. Now that most of you are like oh man what is she doing with her life i will get a little more "spiritual" if you will...with the next blog of course ;)
....for HIS glory
